THE BOURNEMOUTH & DISTRICT RECREATIONAL CHARITY STATEMENT TO STAFF AND SECTIONS

Following the statement made by the Trustees in July 2018, the Trustees in association with Cowling & West, chartered surveyors, received a number of expressions of interest from various parties with regards to the potential acquisition of Bournemouth Sports Club.

After careful consideration of how each proposal satisfied the Trustees “red lines” highlighted in the expression of interest brochure, the Trustees have agreed to enter into an exclusive period of negotiation with Bournemouth University.

During this period of consultation with Bournemouth University, where we will be supported by Cowling & West and Lester Aldridge LLP, solicitors, the Trustees will again stress the importance of securing the long-term future of the Club. This must include the preservation of the current playing facilities available to all sections, along with opportunities for the Sections to fulfil their potential.

At the end of this exclusive period of negotiations, the Trustees will then deliberate the progress made, before deciding how best to proceed.

The Trustees want to reiterate their message of “business as usual” and continue to thank the sections and staff for their continued support.
