BOURNEMOUTH coach Jon Sanchez said the club now want to use the remainder of the campaign preparing for next season.
The Lions sealed promotion to National Two South in front of their own fans with a 41-10 bonus-point win over fifth placed Exmouth.
Stepping up to the fourth tier of English rugby will require a lot of hard work over the summer, and Sanchez wants to be ready.
He said: “We have got one eye on next season already and it is nice to have it done early, because now we can start to build and think about what we want to do with these next four games and really build into next year really.
“We want to win all of these last four games now and really finish on a high.
“We have finished on a high already, but we have not finished the season quite yet.”
The rampant Lions responded well to their promotion play-off defeat to Guernsey last season by sealing promotion before the campaign is complete.
With a reserve week next Saturday followed by trips to Ivybridge and Newton Abbot around home ties with Will Greenwood’s Maidenhead and basement boys Old Pats.
But far from putting their feet up now, Sanchez said his side will remain as professional as possible with other issues still to be settled.
Sanchez added: “This is a really competitive league and second place is still to play for and relegation is still to be settled.
“So we are still going to come out all guns blazing every week with the strongest team possible.
“We will not rest anyone for the last four games now, we want to go unbeaten at home for the season, and get as many new records as we can get.
“It has been about unity and togetherness for us this season, and we are building something here which is really special, and long may it continue.”
