Bournemouth Rugby are proud to announce that this months player of the month is Charlie Trowbridge from the Under 10's. Here are a few words from the under 10's lead coach Paul Senior

It's difficult choosing one player from the many talented children we have in our age group and while this is for the December player of the month our choice has been made based on performance over the first half of the season. Building on the introduction of tackling last season our age group has progressed to contesting possession through controlled ruck's and mauls and some have adapted to this quicker than others.

Charlie has been chosen for this award based on the effort he has put into the new elements of play. We have some great runners who love scoring tries but Charlie understands that ultimately it is the team that scores and that someone has to get stuck in and do the hard work to win the ball in the first place, that's not a common quality at his age. In games he is constantly looking for opportunities to win the ball back for his team and while he's more than capable of scoring himself he always looks for supporting players in a better position showing good awareness and being selfless with the ball.

He responds well to coaching, asking questions if he's unsure of the points being made and taking feedback the receives in a positive way. A popular member of the group, he rarely misses a training session, home or away, and always has a smile on his face.
