Ali summed up the game by saying  ''The weather made for a tough game. But the boys dug deep and got the result. It was a great feeling to get my first man of the match so thanks to Composite Profiles for the privilege. All the guys played well but in particular Luca and Jack both had huge games.''

Many thanks to the entire Bournemouth Rugby team for the warm welcome they extended to us on Saturday.  The atmosphere for the pre-match meal was fantastic and was only eclipsed by an amazing performance from the Lions on the pitch.  Each and every player gave 100% in a determined performance.  With the final score at 13-12 to Lions, it just goes to show that you don’t need a game to be high-scoring to be thoroughly entertaining.  The commitment shown by the players made our decision for Man of the Match very tricky with so many worthy contenders.  For his determination and commitment from start to finish, we opted for Ali Bennett after much discussion.

It was also lovely to see many of my team bringing their children to the ground.  For some it was the first time they’re seen live rugby.  Can’t imagine a better way to introduce them to one of my personal passions, rugby.  What a great family day out!
