Bournemouth prop Michael Davies does not want any respite from his side who face a week off this Saturday.
After winning 17 times in their opening 18 matches of the South West Premier campaign, The Lions now have a break in the fixtures.
The RFU reserve a number of weekends to pencil in earlier postponements - but with the Chapel Gate pitch so reliable, Davies says they will rest some bodies.
He said: “It is a good way to go into the break this week - some of the guys are carrying a few things here or there from playing against some big sides this side of New Year.
“The idea is we will have a bit of a rest now and train on Tuesday before being off on Thursday and then we will come flying out of the gate the week after that against Cleve.
“It will be the final stretch of the season after that and we are all really raring to go for it, and I think we are all ready for it.”
Last Saturday’s 27-26 home win over Camborne, secured the league double over the Cornishmen following on from last October’s heavy 65-7 crushing away day success.
But despite showing the ruthlessness of potential champions at Chapel Gate, Davies said there is still plenty more to come from his team-mates and pleaded for more patience from them.
Davies added: “We came out of the gate hard initially, before retreating back into ourselves a bit so it was very up and down so am I happy with the result? Yes, but am I happy with the playing style? No, not so much.
“We kept to our foundations of what we did really well, but I think when we got past the third or fourth phase of play when we came to make a break, some of our decision making was not fantastic so we need to just get used to playing past the third or fourth phase of play and not try to score straight away.
“It is unbelievable to do the double over Camborne for the season because they are a tough opponent - they are big, they are ruthless and they want to get stuck into you.
"But we showed our tenacity and our ruthlessness and kept our opponent from what they wanted to do and we put ourselves out there."
