Will Croker is out for revenge when the team hot on their heels in South West Premier visits Chapel Gate this weekend.
Second placed Maidenhead are the only team to blot the copybook of the Dorset side, following December’s 28-16 defeat away from home.
However, far from getting down about it, the Director Of Rugby says his side have used the loss as motivation and recorded 11 straight wins since.
He said: “They are going to be coming down to us fully prepped but from our point of view we are incredibly excited about the opportunity to get some retribution.
“They are the only team to beat us this season, and they did not just beat us but they beat us very well and they looked in control right from the beginning.
“We took that as the blip and the spur that we needed to kick on again so I am really looking forward to this match.”
Croker is fully aware of the numerous threats which the Berkshire side possess.
In the front row, they can boast Dutch international front row brothers hooker Mark Darlington and tight-head prop Andy Darlington.
He also identifies number eight Dave Cole as one player who has the potential to blast the game wide open, and Croker says he will be wary.
He added: “They have got some incredibly talented players and they have got some hard carriers in the second row and their number eight is one of the best carriers in the league.
“You sometimes think that he looks a little bit out of condition but he then goes and blasts through the contact area so we are going to have to marshall their pack.
“In the backs, they have got some exciting outside backs and in their kicker they have got one of the most reliable boots in the league so we are going to need to be on our mettle.”
Who's ready for a double cup final!
Nomads and Wanderers are both headed off to North Dorset for the Dorset and Wilts cup final fixtures vs Trowbridge RFC!
Two cups would finish the season off nicely!
