Bournemouth Director Of Rugby Will Croker learned a lot about his players in their 20-18 comeback win at Brixham last week.
The South West Premier table toppers narrowly escaped from Devon with victory thanks to late tries from Mike Pope and Karim Lynch.
This week they welcome Cornish bullies Camborne to Chapel Gate and Croker wants his charges to use last week as a learning tool.
He said: “This week we take on Camborne following on obviously from the terrific result at Brixham last week.
“The Brixham game was an odd one because it is very unusual in rugby to be the worst team - if you like - for 70 minutes.
“They were very physical - which we expected them to be - they carried hard, they scrummaged well and we seemed to cancel each other out when it came to mauling and that type of stuff.
“They look to be a good team and at home will take a lot of casualties in the second half of the season as they are playing with real confidence.
“It takes a great amount of fortitude and resilience to somehow keep yourself in the game and the performance - while not perfect - will give the boys that bit of winning mentality.
“When their backs are against the wall, they will ask themselves ‘how can we come through this together as a group?’”
The eighth placed team in the fifth tier of English rugby are smarting themselves from a 20-18 loss of their own last week after narrowly succumbing at home to second side Barnstaple.
That was just their second loss in front of their own fans this season - with the other a 65-7 demolition by The Lions in October.
Croker, therefore, wants his men to seal the double over the Cornish giants for the season.
He added: “This week we get the opportunity to do the double over Camborne.
“Camborne are a team we always struggle to beat at their place.
“It is a huge commute from their place for them - as it was for us when we went down there back in October - and I believe they are doing it in a day.
“But they are a decent team - they have got some good players.
“They have a back three who can all score tries, so we have got to be ready and we have got to be accepting of the challenge.
“It is a game I want us to come back and win - and win well - bearing in mind the Brixham performance was not our best performance of the season.”
