Bournemouth boss Will Croker has refused to let his side be hampered by their training situation in the run up to their South West Premier trip to Cleve.
The Lions have struggled to do much training recently due to floodlight problems - following their gap in the fixtures last weekend.
Instead, Croker has made the most of the situation and got to work at doing anything he can away from the training paddock - such as analysis.
Croker said: “We have done a lot of hard work off of the pitch this week and done a lot of analysis with the players.
“We have looked at how we can be better prepared for matches without the necessity to be smashing into one another in training.
“It is not ideal by any stretch of the imagination, but is something which unfortunately has been forced upon us at the moment.”
Cleve are two places off of the foot of the table following just five victories this season, and lost 37-19 away at second side Barnstaple last time out.
Bournemouth, meanwhile, edged to a narrow one-point 27-26 home win over Cornish powerhouses Camborne.
After yet again staging another impressive fightback from 19-7 down to win their 17th game out of 18, Croker said some strong words between the squad has helped identified an issue.
He added: “We have got a team which is bristling to perform after we got out of jail again against Camborne.
“We have had a real heart-to-heart chat recently in terms of what has changed this side of Christmas from before Christmas.
“I think what the major factor has been for us is the lack of intensity in training where we have not been able to train or do any contact and we have not even been able to compete in terms of touch rugby or running against backs.
“The only thing we have been able to do is just run unopposed which does mean it is difficult to replicate match situations and fatigue and making the right plays at the right time.”
