Will Croker is looking forward to his Bournemouth side locking horns with South West Premier’s bottom-but-one side Newton Abbot on Saturday.
The table-topping Lions have wrapped up top spot and promotion to National Two South with two games to go against the bottom two sides in the division.
Croker’s charges make their second trip to Devon in a number of weeks following their 30-24 win at fourth placed Ivybridge two weeks’ ago, and the Director Of Rugby is hoping to seeing some friendly faces.
Croker added: “We are really looking forward to going down there to their place because we have always had good games against them for many years and it is always a competitive match with them.
“It is sad to see them where they are in the table and if we do see them get relegated from the South West Premier Division this year, because they have always been a very strong club to play against.
“They always make us feel incredibly welcome whenever we have gone down there to play them, so to see them slip away like they have done and see them where they are in the table is a real shame.”
The Chapel Gate men have been strong away from home this season, and won on their last visit to Devon two weeks’ ago when they triumphed 30-24 at fourth placed Ivybridge.
Abbot unfortunately look consigned to the drop this season after winning just four of 24 fixtures so far this season.
With one eye on next season in National Two South though, Croker is therefore taking the opportunity to blood some youngsters on his replacements’ bench.
He added: “It is great to get the three lads that exposure to the first team, because that shows the conveyer belt of talent we have got coming through at the club at the minute.
“Joe Spiller is 20, Conrad Carkeet is 18 and Carlos Snell is 21 so it is brilliant to have such young guys in the Seconds’ side pushing the guys in the first team all the way for the shirt.”
