Will Croker wants his side to come firing out of the blocks when Camborne visit Chapel Gate.
The Director Of Rugby has pointed out to his players a number of occasions in their South West Premier promotion push when they have struggled to get going.
Last week’s 20-18 road run at fifth places Brixham was only secured courtesy of another late dramatic finish and Croker would like his troops to begin well.
Croker said: “The truth is - if I am being ultra critical - that since Christmas we have not come out in the first half.
“I know this sounds harsh given we are three wins from three games so far this year and have won a couple fairly well.
“However, the Weston-Super-Mare game was close at half-time, Bracknell was a terribly clunky game in the first period and Brixham we had to come from way back.
“As I said on one hand it shows great belief in one another but today I am looking to bring the parts together in an effort to see us perform for closer to 60 minutes rather than 40.”
The victory in Devon was only secured in the final five minutes thanks to scores from fly-half Mike Pope and then match-winning full-back Karim Lynch.
Croker has singled Lynch out as one of his most consistent performers this season since he returned to the club from National One outfit Ampthill.
Croker added: “In the last couple of weeks we have seen the best of Karim Lynch.
“Karim came back to the club from Ampthill in National One.
“There he was considered one of the best full-backs in that league and he was known as 'The Goalkeeper' because of his defensive ability.
“He kicks the ball a long way, is incredibly good under the high ball and is one of the best tacklers I have seen in the position - and as I was a full-back up until the age of about 23, I know what I am talking about!
“At the beginning of the season, he was playing through injury and actually doing us a favour - we knew we were only getting a 60 per cent fit Karim.
“Also the margins by which we were winning and the defensive effort by the rest of the team meant that we were not seeing the true strengths of his game.
“But in the Barnstaple game and again last week against Brixham he was truly excellent.”
