Bournemouth have pipped PRO14 professional duo Edinburgh and Glasgow to the signature of former Scotland Under-20s’ back Rich Galloway.
The skilful speedster, who can play anywhere in the back three, arrives at Chapel Gate having completed his medical studies.
Galloway lands at the club along with fellow wing wonder Dylan Baptista to help boost The Lions’ options on the wing, and Head Coach Will Croker says he will be a big player for them this coming season.
Croker said: “Rich has already shown himself to be an incredibly talented boy and he has got an incredible skill set - which you would expect from a guy who has played at the level he has played at.
“He has got really, really fast feet and he has come from playing anywhere in the back three for most of his rugby.
“He has been played on the wing but he has also played at full-back and he is capable I believe of playing at outside centre too.”
With The Lions winning promotion into National Two South next season following just one defeat last year, Croker is keen to add to the firepower on the wing already at the club.
Galloway will take up his first doctors’ post in the area having previously represented England at Junior level.
However, he then switched allegiances to further north of the border and went on to eventually represent Scotland Under-20s.
Alongside fellow new signing Zimbabwe international wing Baptista, Croker says he now has plenty of firepower out wide at his disposal.
Croker added: “Rich is a very relaxed but focussed guy, who is going to be a big player for us this year.
“The only issue we are going to have with him is that he is a junior doctor and NHS shifts are difficult for him but we are really looking forward to seeing what he can do.
“Him and Dylan offer two very different threats but are two very talented rugby players.”
