Congratulations to our Community Development Partner, Rippa Rugby, on its first anniversary (January).
Most of you know Stu Gallacher and our Apprentices Scott and Conrad, but what you may not know is that over the last 12 months they have succeeded in bringing rugby union PE and after school coaching to 9 primary schools, 5 secondary schools and 1 nursery across the conurbation.*
Stu commented: “We’ve been coaching a mixture of PE consultancy into after-school coaching sessions over and by the end of half term in February, each after school session had in excess of 25 boys and girls playing rugby.
“In addition to this regular support for schools, our camps during school holidays are always full, with non-club rugby players accounting for two thirds of attendees. Of these we have succeeded in introducing 50+ players across different age groups at Bournemouth Rugby.”
