Bournemouth Rugby is delighted to announce the appointment of Dan McKrill as its new Youth and Mini Chairman. Dan has spent the last 5 years as a lead coach, currently coaching our U10’s as well as Mini’s Vice Chairman.
Outgoing Youth and Mini Chairman, Greg Pike will move into a strategic role and provide management and support as Director of Youth & Community Rugby, developing our thriving community as well as continuing to support youth and mini.
Dan said “I’m thrilled to be offered this pivotal role within the club, I am passionate about Bournemouth Rugby, the players, the volunteers and the ethos. I’m looking forward to working with our coaches and managers to continue growing this amazing club”
Greg added “Having spent the last 5 years in the role and 10 years as a coach, and as my current age group will start the transition into Academy rugby next season, now is the right time to hand over the reins and I am delighted that Dan has agreed to take this on. He is a very well respected coach and offers the club so much”.
Acting Chairman Simon Carkeet added “As a club we are blessed with amazing volunteers who continually help run our club week in week out. Greg’s dedication and professionalism has been a huge asset to the club, and we are delighted he will be leading the strategic planning of our youth and community. Dan’s enthusiasm and commitment to the club is incredible and I have no doubt he will lead our youth and mini section to continue the growth we have already achieved”.
