Now that our senior teams have proved their worth by winning their leagues, it is our younger teams’ chance to shine.

The well-established Bournemouth Rugby Youth and Mini Festival, played on Fair Play rules, runs over the weekend of 6 and 7 April 2019. Come rain or shine, the club expects around 1900 young players to take part. On Saturday the Youth teams from U13 upwards will play and on Sunday the Mini U7 to U12 teams will show their strength.

The festival showcase community rugby and is recognised as one of the largest in the South. “One of the most important things is that kids get to play teams not in their usual match matrix,” said Wendy King, Operations Manager, “this is a great opportunity for our younger players and gives them great exposure and experience.”

A big thank you to our sponsor, Essential Payroll, for making this day possible, and a shout-out to our community partners for their continued support.

Food and drink will be available at Chapel Gate on both days, and there will also be opportunity to support the club’s chosen charity, MyTime.

Thinking of trying rugby? Come and join us next weekend 14 April, or when the new season kicks off on the first weekend of September, every Sunday 10am-12am at Chapel Gate.
