England ladies second row Poppy Cleall has taken time out of her busy training schedule preparing for the upcoming six nations to meet our new up and coming girls rugby team. Prior to a joint training session at Ringwood and Ellingham Rugby club. Poppy took a Q&A session from the girls inspiring them to follow in her footsteps. Poppy told the girls “It's all about looking at what you are good at and then making that skill your x-factor. It doesn't mater about you build to what position you play it is more about your skills to which position you play.”
This was followed by Poppy leading the training session. Putting the girls through a hard training session passing on her expertise. Our thanks go out to Ringwood and Ellingham for hosting, to Poppy for inspiring all the girls and the best of luck for the six nations.
This is Bournemouth Girls first season and is lead by head coach Paige Darvill. For most of the girls this is the first season for them playing rugby. They have gone from strength to strength with over 20 girls in the under 13's age group which is looking to expand into a under 16's and then U18's age groups. Any girls whatever age or experience are welcome to either just turn up on Sunday at Chapel Gate at 10am or contact Bournemouth Rugby at membership@bournemouth-rugby.co.uk
