We are facing a challenge in terms of floodlighting on the pitches at Chapel Gate for evening training. Currently just a few of the 16 lights are working, resulting in the pitch at times being too dark to safely train on.
This is a recurring issue that we have complained about, escalated and discussed at length with the Facilities Management at Chapel Gate over the last couple of months. Since it is a grounds issue, Chapel Gate Facilities Management needs to resolve it and we are not allowed to adjust or intervene on their assets.
In order to resolve the issue, we have escalated the issue numerous times to Chapel Gate Executive, and their Trustees. We are now escalating the issue to the RFU Facilities Manager who deals with floodlights guidance for the region, again. We are hopeful that this will push things forward.
Please know that we are aware of this troubling issue. We are actively and urgently dealing with it as we need to have a safe environment for our teams to train.
Please help us to respond to comments raised about the floodlights on your team’s social media pages by indicating that we are giving this issue our utmost attention and understand the urgency of it.
Thank you all for all your support and we will see the light again!
