Whilst we are disappointed that the season ended short and we were therefore unable to fight our way off the bottom of the table, we completely understand the decision made by the RFU to call the season off. We would like to send our best wishes to those who supported us this playing year, fans, volunteers and partners, in what was a challenging time both on and off the field for the club. We hope you and your families are safe and well during these unsettling time.

As coaches, we cannot thank the players enough for their excellent commitment to this club. They are all incredible men to coach and I can assure you that they gave absolutely everything week in week out despite our league position. Their resilience and focus was second to none and we hope they are having some well-earned R+R with their families.

As you well know, we will be playing in South West Premier next season (whenever that may be). For us as team however, our planning and preparation would have been the same whether we were staying in National 2 or not. We feel we have built some excellent foundations towards the latter end of this season which we look forward to building upon. There are a few more pillars that we intend to add to our foundations, and we are really excited about that.

At this moment in time, our players’ aspirations and the clubs’ goals for South West Premier will be determined once we are able to speak to the whole playing group, and as a club we will continue to build on these ambitions.

Take care and we look forward to seeing you all as soon as the season kicks off again.

Many thanks

The Coaching Team
